What we do (and what we don't)

We cover the decorating and the maintenance - the two lists most people juggle two or three tradespeople for. Below is the honest scope. If something isn't here, ask; if it's not one for us, we'll point you to a trusted local name rather than leave you stuck.

Decorating

The room you actually wanted.

Interior painting

Walls, ceilings, woodwork, doors, skirting, architrave, radiators and staircases. Wallpapering and stripping.

Preparation

Filling, sanding, caulking, priming and stain-blocking. Small plaster repairs and making good. The part that decides whether the finish lasts.

Exterior painting

Front and garage doors, soffits, fascias, render, window frames, fences, sheds and garden furniture.

Smaller work

Single-room refreshes and touch-ups - no job too small to do properly.

Maintenance - one-off jobs

The whole snag list, ticked off in one visit.

Hanging and fixing

Shelves, mirrors, pictures, curtain poles and tracks, blinds, TV brackets, coat hooks, towel rails, bathroom fittings, key safes, house numbers, letterboxes, smart doorbells and cameras, garage and loft shelving, bike racks.

Flat-pack and furniture

Wardrobes, beds, drawers, desks, bookcases, garden furniture and BBQs - plus rescuing anything that was built badly the first time.

Doors, windows and locks

Easing sticking doors, hinges, handles, latches, closers, draught-proofing, lock and cylinder changes, window catches.

Wet areas

Fresh silicone around baths, showers, sinks and worktops. Regrouting. Swapping shower heads, hoses, toilet seats, tap washers and wastes.

Small building fixes

Filling and making good, loose floorboards, squeaky stairs, sticking drawers and cupboard doors, skirting and beading, boxing in pipes.

Simple swaps

Like-for-like light fittings, faceplates and extractor covers, awkward bulbs, smoke-alarm batteries, bleeding radiators.

Outside

Gutter clearing at ladder height, pressure-washing patios, paths, drives and decking, fence and gate repairs, replacing panels, rehanging gates, shed repairs and treatment, washing lines, hanging baskets, outdoor taps.

Considered joinery

Slat walls, panelling, boxing in and simple built-in shelving - priced as proper jobs, not clock-watched odd jobs.

Maintenance - ongoing care

A standing half-day, every month.

Some homes just need a regular, reliable pair of hands. Book a standing half-day or full day each month and we'll work through your list - seasonal checks, the jobs that never get done, the slow drip of small fixes.

Ideal for busy households, landlords between tenancies, and holiday-let and second-home turnarounds where things need resetting fast and properly. One point of contact, no chasing.

Set up ongoing care

What we don't do

Staying in our lane is a feature, not a limit.

We stay in our lane so the work is safe, legal and done right. We don't touch:

Gas and boilers

Gas Safe registered engineers only, by law.

Notifiable electrical work

New circuits, consumer units, anything in bathroom zones. We'll do genuine like-for-like swaps (a light fitting, a faceplate) that the rules allow; anything beyond that needs a registered electrician.

Plumbing beyond washers and isolating a leak

We'll stop the water and swap a washer or a seat. Bigger plumbing goes to a plumber.

Roofing, structural work and specialist trades

Full re-plastering, kitchen and bathroom fitting, anything needing scaffolding, damp and timber treatment, and asbestos.

If your job's on this list, say so anyway - we work with trusted local trades for all of it and we're happy to point you the right way. Better a good referral than a bad job.

Not sure if it's one for us? Ask anyway.
